A new feature for enhanced security of your WhatsApp Account
WhatsApp has introduced its latest update, which provides users with a new way to enhance the security of their accounts. This optional yet recommended security feature allows users to link their email addresses to their accounts, offering them added protection and increased flexibility in accessing their accounts.
While the phone number will continue to serve as the primary identifier for creating and logging into WhatsApp accounts, this new feature introduces an additional layer of security and an alternative method for accessing the account in specific situations. Users can choose to use either their phone number or linked email address for logging into their account.
As of now, this new feature is only available to users who have installed the latest version of WhatsApp. It will gradually become available to a wider user base. To explore this new feature, you can navigate to WhatsApp settings > Account > Email address.
