Eid Celebration
At PromptTech

A celebration of unity and serenity

Eid is a joyous festival celebrated worldwide, marking the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. It’s a time of unity, gratitude, and reflection, where families and communities come together to pray, feast, and exchange gifts.

Team PromptTech Middle East and Team PromptTech India joyfully celebrated Eid, a festive occasion brimming with togetherness and warmth. In the Middle East, our team adorned their hands with vibrant mehndi designs and indulged in delightful treats, fostering a warm atmosphere filled with genuine smiles. Decked out in splendid attire, the team united to create lasting memories, embodying the essence of Eid. In India, the spirit of Ramadan was honored through thoughtful gestures. Treat boxes were gifted to the team, reflecting the essence of unity and generosity of this special time.

WhatsApp's Passkey
Feature for iOS

This feature will boost security for users

WhatsApp’s new Passkey feature elevates security for iPhone users, allowing them to sign in with their Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode, thereby enhancing security. Android users already have a similar passwordless sign-in feature in place. The news about this feature rolling out for iPhone users was announced by the Meta-owned platform recently on X.

The Passkey feature is a secure alternative compared to traditional methods like logging in with SMS-based codes. This feature makes use of public key cryptography and stores keys on Apple’s Keychain system. To enable the Passkey feature, update to the latest version of WhatsApp on your iPhone and follow these steps: Go to Accounts > Select Passkeys > Select Create Passkey > Use Face ID or Touch ID to authenticate > Select Continue.

OpenAI may launch a search engine
backed by Microsoft

Open AI’s CEO acknowledged the potential of LLMs in Search

OpenAI may launch a search engine backed by Microsoft, which could intensify competition with Google. Speculation about OpenAI’s launch of a search engine was amplified by the platform’s recent hiring spree for an events team. Microsoft’s Bing might provide the infrastructure to some extent for the new search.

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, acknowledged the potential of Large Language Models (LLMs) in search in a podcast with Lex Fridman. He also emphasized the aim to fundamentally improve information discovery, utilization, and understanding rather than merely building a better Google Search. There is a possibility of a major shift in the way users access information online with the speculation surrounding OpenAI’s search engine.
